Kained & Able
Kained & Able is the London based project of Steven Johnson and Nolan Luijten. Having met at a party in 2007, they bonded over a shared vision in progressive Psy and a fetish for cross-dressing. They went on to form the Kained & Able project in 2008 and have spent the past year refining and performing their underground blend of psychedelic trance across the UK and beyond. With a primary focus on heavy proggy beats, twisted sound design and hands on live performance, their taste for a minimal and darker form of Psygressive Psytrance has led them to become a regular feature in the London scene.
Portal Protection
Being involved in psy-movement at the end of XXth century they started out eleven years ago twisting vinyls at various parties in Estonia and gradual in whole Baltic part. All those things as also beautiful surroundings of fairy Tallin, which is the capital of Estonia and new-born music (psytrance, psytechno, goatrance, saikodelic dub), played its role. It turned imperceptible into composing deep psychedelic sound as a small project mystique named Portal Protection. Since that time Maksim Mochalov and Ilja Vetrov spent a lot of time finding their special sound in constantly changing environment. Finally, it was found and described as a deep minimal forest psygressive trance.
ZOOCH
The course of a direction, of movement, of energy in a life of Robert Anuskevic aka Zooch/Red Serpent, DJ & Manager of Arkona Creation Art Label, who was born in Lithuania, has been turned from a head on feet after he once got to the private gathering, in the deep Lithuanian forest, organized by the builders ("High Realm") of the Trance movement in Lithuania in 2003. Zooch joined them and together they organized the ‘Shambala’ festivals in Lithuania. In 2007 "High Realm" changed its name to "Yegaveda" and made "Yaga" festival. Next festival was the "Offworld" festival (UK) in 2008 where Robert organized one of the nights in a progressive dance floor.
Meanwhile, he is traveling round the world, meeting the souls, playing the music, taking part in organization of the parties and festivals.
Zooch's sets are different kind of psychedelic. It could be as night as morning, atmospheric, minimal and even groovy sound which uplifts you in space through dance.
His other nick-name is Red Serpent who likes playing melodic&soft IDM electronic, downbeat, ambient&world music.
In the meantime, Robert never stops meeting unseen and unheard music&visual artists, decorators&just or creative people. It was the main reason why he started to think about the Art Label. Casual, and maybe not, meeting with Pasha aka Diopside&Irishkoj has made the business. Together they have embodied it into a life&opened The Art Label called Arkona Creation 8))
Nolan Shmolan
This bio belongs to Nolan Luijten aka Nolan Shmolan - a drummer, DJ, producer and manager of Arkona Creation Records, bookworm and human being based in London. Nolan has had a diverse musical background (at the age of 12 he got his first drum kit and started to play in a metal band in one year time), having grown up moving around the world he was exposed to many different cultures, and his international heritage makes it difficult to say where he actually comes from. That is one of the reasons why his musical taste goes from metal, blues, acoustic and psychedelic rock to ambient, trip hop, chill out, reggae, dub, and eventually goa and psychedelic trance. It happened in one of those magic summer nights in Belgium when he had his first full blown dancefloor experience and this music stirred sth deep in him. The result appeared in a few years time then he had a first DJ set in London in 2006, and since then he has been signed as a label DJ of progressive music, which is a bit on the dark side, for Arkona Creation Art Label in 2007.
