KRIKOR (KILL THE DJ, TIGERSUSHI / PARIS, FRANCE)
Krikor met his first Sampling Machine in 1995, during his sound engineering studies. he naturaly started producing tracks with Frederic Galliano, Krikor's firsts loves were funk music, and the bass instrument, for which he spent one year in the Bass institute of technology in Los Angeles. The gathering of his many influences such as Prince, Bo Diddley, 80's Hip Hop, colder music some like to call new wave, to pure electroacoustic pieces lead him to come up with some weird funk, featuring an important natural environment sounding characteristic, result of years of everyday life recordings such as train, crowd, city sounds. In the past year he has remixed many different artist coming from really different sound scapes such as Serge Gainsbourg, Ark, Chloe, Andy Vaz, Mateo&Matos, Ddamage.
His performances live are strongly improvisation oriented using laptop, microphone, various beat box machines, bended effects and contact mics.
